Repeated the Epley manoeuvre today and to my surprise, the vertigo was gone, so it seems that the previous trial worked after all! Sylvia watched the operation in real time in Vienna.
I've had a case of BPPV since Sunday. Tried to accomplish the Epley manoeuvre to treat it; the result was interesting but hardly successful. Having vertigo does save a lot of money in amusement park entrance fees, though.

Getting a tattoo has been a fading fad since quite a while now, so it might actually be time to take one. Unfortunately, I really have no idea how to implement the kind of tattoo I want. It is described in the lyrics of this song, though. (I'm sorry for those of my readers who are not Finnish-speakers, but I'm afraid it would be totally lost in translation.)

Went camping for the weekend. The dam on Lake Moogerah was quite impressive, and on our way back home we bought some delicious crabs.

Have you ever misunderstood a song? Can't you help yourself hearing Jimi Hendrix sing "excuse me while I kiss this guy," even when he doesn't? Have you been wondering most of your life why Cat Stevens would tell his girlfriend "I hope you'll have a lot of nice things to wear?" -Well, the song of the day was made in Finland many years ago, and it made a big hit, so it was playing everywhere. I was in love at the time, can't even remember with whom, but anyway, I mistook the song for a love song. I had a hammer, thus it had to be a nail. Today I heard it again, and a revelation came to me: it's not a love song at all. It really, really isn't.
In the evening, we went to the Arena to see Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly...except that there was no Gogol Bordello! I want my money back! However, their mystical disappearance was beneficial for Molly's performance - actually, I think that Flogging Molly would make a great warm-up act for them.
Took a day trip to Ipswich, a pretty little town right next to Brisbane. The town museum had a surprisingly good exhibition of installations and the most adorable dog sculpture by Christopher Trotter.
Ipswich was also full of good second-hand shops, so now I am the proud owner of many excellent, not to mention reasonably priced, DVDs. One of them is Hitch, which is easily one of the best (do I dare to say it? shudder!) romantic comedies made in the oughties. This film restored my faith in Will Smith, the faith I thought I had lost forever when watching the poor excuse of a movie called Wild, Wild West.
